National Centre for Integrative Medicine

Amazing day at the National Centre for Integrative Medicine conference in Bristol about Trauma-Informed practice today.

We talked about how trauma hides in plain sight…. How the clients/patients which seem the hardest to help are actually the ones trying hardest just to survive…

Reframing ‘not engaging’ to ‘not feeling safe’

How to being to recognise trauma- especially in physical health symptoms & conditions

And most importantly, what we can do about it!!!

So good to discuss trauma with others - and learn from all the inspiring speakers- about pain management, the role of primary care in supporting those affected by gender based violence, trauma informed yoga and EFT/ tapping.

All in the beautiful surroundings of the Penny Brohn Centre - incredible charity supporting those impacted by cancer - so check them out!
