The Trauma-Sense Programme
Part 2: Becoming Trauma-Informed
Having completed Part 1 of the Trauma-Sense Programme, you may choose to continue with Part 2 ‘Becoming Trauma-Informed’ to further bolster your skills and confidence when dealing with clients who have a trauma history.
In this 9-week programme, taught LIVE, you will deepen your understanding of psychological trauma & how to apply this understanding in your practice through a combination of teaching and experiential case-work.
Trauma-Sense Part 2 will always be capped at small numbers, to ensure a safe space to deeply explore these topics in relation to ourselves and clients.

“It has helped me feel more confident as a coach, better resourced to support my clients, and more compassionate towards their challenges. I feel better equipped to know how to deal with trauma if it comes up in a session, and more confident in knowing when I am able to deal with something and when I am best to refer on. EVERY coach should attend this training!!!”
(Jen Le Marinel, Coach)
Trauma-Sense Part 2: Becoming Trauma-Informed consists of:
Four LIVE 90 minute training modules with Q&A covering topics including:
Deepening the understanding of the impact of psychological trauma on the body, brain and behaviour
Trauma & the body, an exploration of the Polyvagal theory and its application to coaching
Collective trauma, transgenerational trauma and epigenetics
Trauma, highly sensitive people, neurodiversity
How trauma impacts attachment and the relation to our authenticity
Trauma & parenting; how your own trauma impacts parenting, and how to support a child with trauma
Three interactive 90 minute workshops
During these workshops you will have the opportunity to work through specific cases and examples - brought by the group - and learn how to put the teachings into practice. Please note that client confidentiality will be maintained throughout.
Two out of three workshops are compulsory to attend live to ‘pass’ the programme
Two 30 minute 1:1 calls for Q&A and feedback.
To complete the programme, you will need to complete a 1500 word assignment based on a client case-study demonstrating your understanding of a trauma-informed approach and your ability to apply this in your work.
As a participant in Part 2 of the Trauma-Sense Programme - ‘Becoming Trauma-Informed’, you will also have access to a dedicated Facebook group to share and ask questions.

“I feel more capable of dealing with clients’ problems and to combine my coaching with more of a somatic element…[it] has given me much more confidence.”
(Susie Heath, founder of The Embodiment Coaching Academy)

Outcomes:
There are the expected outcomes of being more confident in being able to recognise the behaviours, and physical/mental health impacts of psychological trauma in your clients. You will gain tips on managing situations with clients as they arise during sessions.
As a consequence, you will be able to support your clients fully - be able to unlock self sabotaging behaviour and get incredible results for your clients - which previously may have seemed out of reach.
The unexpected outcomes are the personal growth. People join the Trauma-Sense programme for professional growth but all who have participated in the programme have fed back on the huge impacts in their personal life: a deep understanding of themselves, with positive knock-on impacts with their relationships, both personal and professional.

“It was all powerful - but the most useful aspect was your ability to relate to coaching: helping us to understand the less obvious signs of trauma and that some of our strategies are not suitable and could exacerbate the clients emotions.”
(Kat Holden - Coach & Consultant)
