Master’s Events Oxford Trauma Conference 2025
I went to this year’s Master’s events Oxford trauma conference with the intention of learning and being around likeminded colleagues.
What I didn’t expect, was the profound sense of community, the level of connection nor to experience such powerful personal shifts during the workshops.
The incredible 4 hour workshop with Ester Perel
Panel with Myira Khan, Linda Thai, Mike Niconchuk & Bessel Van der Kolk: Power, Freedom, and Belonging: Collective Healing in a Fragmented World -
Acknowledging these truths- We live in a systematically oppressive world
And that politics decides who has access to healing
Tara Swart & Poppy Delbridge: Rewiring Connection: Using Neuroscience, Tapping and Energy to Heal Relationships -
A beautiful demonstration of rapid tapped; showing the power of vulnerability and self compassion.
Gil Gomes Leal (The Grid) The Body as a Portal: Exploring Movement, Myth and Connection
This was quite simply the most powerful workshop I’ve done. Check out their website www.amenti.world
Linda Thai: An Expanded Conceptualisation of Secure Attachment -
‘A refugee is someone nobody wants’
‘We cannot grieve what we cannot name’
Bea Palya: Bless Your Body With Your Voice: Put Your Members Into Song
An incredibly powerful workshop - again, difficult to put into words the transformational power of this workshop.
Marissa Nelson: Reclaiming Connection: Exploring Intimacy, Vulnerability and Trust
The Closing
Ajoia - this incredible musical duo combine music with the work of Stephen Porges and the polyvagal theory- what an incredibly joyous way to end a conference!
There were many other amazing speakers. And I learnt so much! But it was the connections, the feeling of community that will really stay with me.
